
1. Banana & Avocado Mash (6+ months)

Ingredients: ½ ripe banana, ½ ripe avocado
Prep: Mash together until smooth.

2. Carrot & Sweet Potato Purée (6+ months)

Ingredients: 1 carrot, 1 small sweet potato (peeled & chopped)
Prep: Steam or boil until soft, then blend with water or breast milk.
Benefits: High in beta-carotene and gentle on tummies.
3. Apple & Pear Compote (6+ months)

Ingredients: 1 apple, 1 pear (peeled, cored, chopped)
Prep: Steam or simmer until soft, then blend or mash.
Benefits: Great for digestion, rich in vitamin C.
4. Oats & Banana Porridge (7+ months)

Ingredients: ¼ cup rolled oats, ½ banana, water or milk
Prep: Cook oats, mash in banana, and blend for smoother texture if needed.
Benefits: Good source of fiber, iron, and energy.
5. Zucchini & Pea Purée (7+ months)

Ingredients: ½ zucchini (chopped), ½ cup peas
Prep: Steam and blend until smooth.
Benefits: Loaded with vitamins A, C, and fiber.
6. Chicken & Carrot Mash (7+ months)

Ingredients: 1 small chicken breast, 1 carrot
Prep: Boil chicken and carrot until tender, blend with cooking water.
Benefits: Provides protein, iron, and vitamin A.
7. Lentil & Pumpkin Purée (8+ months)

Ingredients: ¼ cup red lentils, ½ cup pumpkin (chopped)
Prep: Cook lentils and pumpkin together, blend until smooth.
Benefits: High in protein, iron, and beta-carotene.
8. Spinach & Potato Mash (8+ months)

Ingredients: 1 small potato, handful of spinach
Prep: Boil potato, steam spinach, mash or blend together.
Benefits: Iron-rich and supports brain development.
9. Quinoa & Veggie Bowl (9+ months)

Ingredients: 2 tbsp cooked quinoa, carrots, peas, zucchini (chopped)
Prep: Cook vegetables until soft, mix with quinoa and mash.
Benefits: Complete protein source, loaded with nutrients.
10. Mini Mashed Pasta with Tomato & Cheese (10+ months)

Ingredients: Small pasta shapes, grated tomato, a little cheese
Prep: Cook pasta, mix in soft tomato and cheese, mash lightly.
Benefits: A gentle introduction to textures and flavors.
🌱 Tips:
Always check for allergies by introducing one new ingredient at a time (wait 2–3 days).
Textures should progress from smooth purées (6–8 months) to soft lumps and finger foods (8–12 months).
I usually add baby rice, quinoa and cous cous to any of these purees after 10 months.
Avoid salt, sugar, honey (until 1 year), and cow’s milk as a drink before 1 year.
